Exams Timetable

Students are responsible for finding out when and where their exams are; personal timetables are not posted out.  If you want to check you are entered for the exams you should be taking, please come to the Exams Office.

Exam Protocol for Students

Here are the current JCQ official regulations for sitting online and written exams – ensure you read these in advance of any exam; failure to adhere to these regulations may result in disqualification. on screen tests Written exams

It is in your best interests to comply with the following to ensure the exams go as smoothly as possible:

  • check the relevant timetable regularly; it is your responsibility to find out when and where your exam is
  • timetables available here by following the relevant links; also available on the Exams Notice Board on the ground floor of Kingston
  • plan to arrive 20 minutes earlier than the published start time
  • morning exams start at 9:30am unless otherwise stated
  • afternoon exams start at 2:00pm unless otherwise state
  • if you are running late, go straight to the exam location, handing in to the invigilator any unauthorised materials – you will be allowed to sit the exam but risk not having this marked by the awarding body depending on the circumstances of your lateness
  • photographic ID always required; this should be your college ID badge
  • unauthorised materials include:
        -any digital/text facility, including mobile phone and MP3 player
        -pencil cases unless transparent
        -calculator cases/instruction leaflets
        -correction fluid
        -books/notes unless they are authorised exam texts
  • only water contained in a transparent bottle is permitted, free from labels; all other drinks will be confiscated
  • Yeovil College accepts no responsibility for any candidates’ personal possessions
  • in the event of an emergency, remain calm and await instruction from the invigilator or a member of Exams; please always respect exam conditions otherwise you risk invalidating the exam session, so no talking.  The exam clock is always stopped so you will be able to resume your exam as normal once the emergency is over – so long as you have remained under supervision

 

Exam Entries

Students are responsible for entering for any re-sits; your first attempt will be entered by your lecturer.  All re-sits are payable by the student.  If you need to request a re-sit for either November or January, please be sure you are aware of the latest fees and deadline information. You then need to:

  1. Complete an exam entry form available from the Exams Office, Faculty staffrooms, and the Exams notice board
  2. Come to the Exams Office to get your exam entry form verified
  3. Pay at the Payments Office once your exam entry form is verified

Please be aware that exam fees are only refundable at the discretion of the Exams Office.
