Had an interrupted education?

If any of the above apply to you, then Pathways may be the programme for you.

The programme will give you the chance to:

  • Achieve GCSE qualifications
  • Achieve Level 2 Diploma, City & Guilds or equivalent qualifications
  • Play a full part in College life, including our enrichment programme
  • Take advantage of our excellent support services to help you to achieve

The Pathways Programme consists of the following elements:

  • Maths GCSE at Foundation Level for those with a grade D or the Use of Maths GCSE for those with E grade or above
  • English GCSE for those with a grade D or a Functional Skills English course for those with grades E - G
  • GCSE Psychology
  • GCSE Double Science
  • Enrichment from a range of options, which include Sport and Performing Arts
  • BTEC Extended Certificate (Level 2) in IT
  • Tutorial, including group work and one-to-one tutorials

Pathways students come through a variety of routes and have individual needs. Your programmes will be individually negotiated. Your course will be assessed through a combination of final examinations and coursework, depending on the options you choose.

Successful Pathways students will be encouraged to stay in full-time education by studying a Level 3 BTEC Diploma or an AS/A Level programme, or you may choose an Apprenticeship. Alternatively you may decide to move on to employment after your year at College.

The only requirement for joining the Pathways Programme is commitment.

We will need to be sure that you really want to come to College and are prepared to commit yourself to full attendance on your chosen programme. In return we will guarantee as much support as you need to help you succeed!
