How do I Pay for my Course?
Students paying in full
Paying is the only way to ensure your place on the course, which needs to be done at the time of enrolment.
You can pay by:
- Debit/Credit Card
- Cheques (made payable to Yeovil College)
- Cash (do not post)
Students paying by instalments
UK resident students whose fees are over £350 can pay an initial payment of 25% of the fees on enrolment followed by three equal payments payable by credit or debit card, cheque or direct debit. Payment plans can only be changed once and a fee will be charged. Any further change/default and the student will be asked to leave the course.
Students receiving Benefits
Original evidence (not photocopies) must be provided that you are currently receiving:
- Council Tax Benefit
- Housing Benefit
- Income Support
- Pension Credits
- Income-based Job Seekers Allowance.
This applies to tuition fees only on:
- One full-time course
- Two part-time examination courses
- A maximum of 40 hours per term for non-examination courses
Students receiving Working Tax Credits (WTC)
Only those students in receipt of WTC, or their partners and with a household income of less than £15,050 (this may be subject to change) will be eligible for fee reduction.
The required evidence is provided on pages 1 and 2 of the award notice. The `Tax Credit Award’ box on page 1 will indicate if WTC has been awarded and `Your Income’ section on page 2 will confirm the household income.
A personal income of less than £15,050 (this may be subject to change) is not sufficient evidence without proof of being in receipt of WTC. Original evidence (not photocopies) of WTC will be required.

Sponsored Students
When a student has indicated that their employer will be liable for their fees the employer will be invoiced. Sponsorship forms are available, if required, from the Customer Liaison & Enrolment Team. The student will be made aware that they will become liable for their fees if payment is not forthcoming from their employer. If this situation arises the student will be invoiced directly.
Other Costs
Additional costs, e.g. materials, residential trips etc. may need to be paid by all students. Students are responsible for the purchase of all books, stationery etc. required for the course and are advised not to make purchases until after the first meeting of the course.
If in doubt contact the Customer Liaison & Enrolment Team on 01935 845491 or email: enrolments@yeovil.ac.uk.
